THE 9 TENORS & 3 SOPRANOS - ITALIAN POP OPERA
The Copernicus artistic agency and the Rome Chamber Opera (Opera da Camera di Roma) invite you to a unique event, combining live broadcasts and a film journey through historic Rome.
The artists from Opera da Camera di Roma, longing for the stage and the audience, will perform in the open space of Rome on 17 July 2021, and the concert will be broadcast live to the whole world.
In the era of travel restrictions, we want to give viewers not only the opportunity to listen to a beautiful and unique concert. During the broadcast of the concert, high-quality shots from unique and historic places in Rome will be displayed. The viewers will therefore get an insight into not only the Italian culture but also the architecture and history of the Eternal City.
There will be talented soloists performing on stage: 9 tenors and 3 sopranos, endowed with an exceptional timbre of voice, Italian vivaciousness and cheerfulness. Together with the musicians of Opera da Camera di Roma, the soloists will take the audience on a trip around the greatest Italian melodies.
Our concert is a unique selection of repertoire by which we break stereotypes about classical music, opera and popular music. The main emphasis of the concert will be placed on beautiful and endearing pieces by Andrea Bocielli, who is the undisputed master of combining pop music and opera. But we also have a surprise for the audience - songs such as Ti amo, Volare and Felicita will be presented in an interesting opera edition. There will also be the most famous opera arias and Neapolitan songs put in a traditional, operatic version.
All you need to do is sit comfortably in the armchair and start the wonderful musical journey with the majestic Rome in the background.
Part of the income from the concert will be donated with the purpose of counteracting the effects of COVID-19.
Agencja Copernicus Sp. z o.o. has received support from the COVID-19 Countermeasure Fund and the above concert is organized using these funds.
