Tribute to George Michael is a unique and one of the first concerts to commemorate George Micheal, who died a few weeks ago – a brilliant, charismatic vocalist with impressive musical achievements.
During the concert, you will hear the artist's greatest hits in phenomenal symphonic arrangements, performed by outstanding musicians and with the participation of young, sensitive and very talented soloists of the Polish music scene, known from such programs as The Voice of Poland, Battle of Voice or Got Talent.
We will hear both George's songs from the days of Wham! ("Careless Whisper) and the artist's later solo works ( "Freedom", "Faith", "Let her down easy", "I can't make you love me", "Jesus to a Child", "Everything She Wants" , "Father Figure"). There will also be songs that the artist performed in duets with outstanding vocalists – Aretha Franklin and Whitey Houston ("I Knew You Were Waiting", "If I told you that").
But this concert is not only a concert of George's songs. Referring to the artist's roots, i.e. the Cypriot origin of George's father, the concert will feature the famous piece of Greek music – Zorba. The Hebrew roots of the artist's mother, on the other hand, will be accentuated by the presentation of charismatic Krezmer music.
George Michael is a pop icon with a spicy personal life, but also a dove-hearted man, involved in the political problems of the modern world and many charitable initiatives. The above-mentioned faces of the artist will be presented to viewers on multimedia visualizations accompanying the concert.
You are welcome to an evening full of memories of this outstanding artist.
